Hello followers of "A Sunday with DND",
I thought it was about that time I talked about Wizard Con in Miami, Fl. We, me and my fiancee, drove done from Tampa, Fl on Friday to Miami. We stayed at a La Quinta Inn by the airport and ventured out Friday night to find sustenance. Only good part about staying in that hotel was HBO. Free Movies are always a plus. A rad breakfast buffet also helped. However, if your itching to do this Con, I would suggest the Holiday Inn Express just a few miles down the road. On to the review. Everything I feel like was mainly money driven at this Con. Practically everything from the artist alley to the autographs for the celebrities cost money. In fact, the only free things in this Con were the panels and talking to the fan groups. This may be indicative of all Cons, but I felt if you didn't bring some major mula with you, you were not going to have fun here. The magic and yugi-oh card game tourneys were fun, and only cost a few bucks a piece. Still a good experience if you are just walking around. A good bit of Cos players and interesting people to talk to around the floor, as well. The panels and show at the end of the night will keep you interested. Again I was still shocked at the amount of money I thought you need to enjoy the full experience. Still going back next year though. If you wanna check out the panels and some highlights of the show go here: http://www.wizardworld.com/miami2011.html. Interviews to be posted on the podcast soon. So as always go listen and play on players!!!!!
Sincerely,
Andrew
