Hey y'all,
First Post from our down situation. Hopefully the first of a habit of posts. This week we had DJ Cookie from Split Infinity Radio on our little show. She taught me something I already knew, if there is a market it for it, then the audience will come. I first learned about DJ Cookie from one of my Facebook friends, and one of my first thoughts was how can a radio show drawn in a geeky audience. What we gleamed from DJ Cookie this week was the answer...it's about audience and building a community. What a lot of terrestrial radio programs do is to cater to a specific set of one group of people. What Split Infinity and I try to do is reach a broad brush stroke of the "geek" audience by diversifying.
More than just the community though, I have to commend them on the quality of their programs. You don't get this short segment of terrestrial radio. I tuned in the day after we recorded to find the SWTOR guys talking about the latest patch for a good 20 minutes. People really do want to feel a connection with their hosts and their favorite game. So in closing...SI radio= awesome= so is community awesomeness. Thanks for tuning in. Next week I dive into the 4.0 Adventures Vault 1
